
Dr. Michael Rosenthal ("Dr. Mike") is a pediatric neuropsychologist based in southern Westchester county. Prior to opening his private practice in 2016, Dr. Mike spent three and a half years as a staff neuropsychologist at the Child Mind Institute in Manhattan where he was also actively involved in the supervision of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows as well as the creation of an early childhood assessment clinic for toddlers and preschool-aged children. In addition to Dr. Mike’s expertise in neuropsychological assessment, his background and training in cognitive-behavioral (CBT), family systems, and psychodynamic/attachment theories enrich his understanding of how and why a child may be struggling and the best ways to intervene.
Dr. Mike received his BA in psychology from the University of Maryland before completing a two-year Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda, Maryland. He then earned his PhD at the University of Connecticut, fulfilled internship training at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Children’ s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Dr. Mike has presented on a wide range of topics, from executive functioning in adolescents to sensory processing issues in preschoolers. He has also co-authored several book chapters and been published in a number of respected peer-reviewed journals including Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, Neuroimage, Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, and Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, New York Neuropsychology Group, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology.

Dr. Jessica Hartman is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive training in the area of psychological assessment, including in depth knowledge and expertise using a variety of assessment measures including psychodiagnostics, psychoeducational, neuropsychological and Autism diagnostic test batteries. Dr. Hartman has performed evaluations for children and adolescents presenting with a range of learning, attentional, and social-emotional concerns. As part of the assessment process Dr. Hartman works to quickly establish rapport and trust with clients, identify areas of concern and partner with kids and families, and seamlessly and comprehensively integrate assessment results to ensure that needs are met by offering salient recommendations and/or interventions. Dr. Hartman is well versed in current special education law and practices and has previously worked in a therapeutic and residential school setting for children with special education needs.
Dr. Hartman completed her undergraduate degree at Boston College and her graduate training at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. While completing her graduate degree Dr. Hartman trained at a variety of sites including hospital-based, outpatient, and residential settings. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at New York City Children’s Center through the NYS Office of Mental Health. After internship, she received post-doctoral training and worked at Green Chimneys therapeutic day treatment and residential programs. She later returned to NYCCC for several years, helping to start a comprehensive testing service and implementing their iPad-based testing initiative.
Additionally, Dr. Hartman's background includes working with children, adolescents and families affected by social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, Autism, ADHD, trauma, and disruptive behavior disorders. Dr. Hartman uses an integrated treatment approach, tailoring treatment with training in CBT, DBT, attachment and relational models as well as trauma-focused interventions such as TF-CBT, Sanctuary Model and Real-Life Heroes. Dr. Hartman has also been actively involved in training and supervision of psychology interns and externs as well as child psychiatry fellows from New York Presbyterian Hospital and Montefiore Medical Center. She has been invited to speak as a guest lecturer for Montefiore’s Child Psychiatry Grand Rounds Series and serve as a panelist for the annual Lauretta Bender Conference.
